Happy Independence Day!

It’s the 4th of July.

Two-hundred thirty years ago, we sent England the political equivalent of a “Dear John” letter. Our declaration was read across the colonies, usually to fanfare that included cannon fire.

Today is the one day we put aside our differences and agree on one thing: America rocks! We fire up the grills, jump in the pools and drink ungodly amounts of alcohol. All in celebration of our nation and our freedoms.

I know I’m getting ready for my family’s annual barbeque. And the weather is hopefully going to cooperate so we can go swimming. All in all, some good, Americana fun.

So if you’re American, celebrate! If you’re not…I’m sorry if you’re deluged with our patriotism. It’ll be over soon.
