Isn’t it the Holiday Season?

Filed under: off topic — mackenziew @ 12:00 am

No, this isn’t about the weather. Even though it seems more appropriate for Easter than Christmas. Is a White Christmas too much too ask for?

Since I started working, I realized how the feel of the holiday season differs from how it felt when I was in school. There’s still a festive atmosphere, but school was still school. Throughout elementary and high school, classes continued right up until that last day, which was a party. College it was somewhat of a party but everyone was just too focused on finals and packing for winter break to really celebrate. (Or at least the people I hung out were).

Now, though, it’s like businesses go on vacation. Most people do leave the office, no doubt burning off their vacation days. Or they’re at holiday parties. Ours was last Thursday. It was a lot of fun—good food, good drinks and some karaoke. And a Secret Santa. I got a Macy’s gift card. So I can do some shopping soon! Maybe I’ll get my Christmas dress with it.

But aside from that, this month so far has been really busy. Busier than one would think. And it’s barely halfway over! Anyone else tired? I mean, it started to slow down on Friday but still…It’s a bit much.

It’s the holidays. Let’s all take a break, yeah?
