A Writer's Journey

State of My Writing

It’s January. So you know what’s approaching—President Obama’s State of the Union Address, where he tells us how we as a nation are doing. In that vein, I thought I would take a moment to summarize how my writing projects are coming along. Hopefully, I’ll remember to make this an annual event!

“Dreams of a Rose”: In progress. About 19,000 words so far. Antagonist just entered the picture.

“Fairest of Them All”: Completed and still being typed up. I am working to earn enough karma to post it on Scribophile.

“The Conference House”: Fast approaching 50,000 words. Currently on hold due to work on other side projects. Still bringing it toward the Staten Island Peace Conference.

“The Wedding Game”: Completed. Being edited and posted on Book Country under “A Wedding Game” due to a mistake. Is also posted in part on Scribophile.

“Through the Mists”: Stalled. Epically. But I have not abandoned it. My high fantasy epic starring a cast of thousands will live. Not today, but maybe by the end of the year.

And there you have it—the state of my writing. Let’s see what the new year brings!
