Let Us Give Thanks: 2013 Edition

It’s Thanksgiving again here in the United States. We’re getting ready to fight with the stuffing, roast the turkey, prepare three different kinds of potatoes (we’re of Irish descent, can you tell?), stick the men in front of the football game, break open some wine and enjoy each other’s company. But most importantly, it’s time to give thanks for the things in our lives.

And that includes me.

Everything from last year’s post still stands. I’m still thankful for my family and for my friends. And I’m still thankful for everyone at Book Country. But now I’m also thankful for everyone at Scribophile. You’ve also helped me become a better writer. Thank you.

The same applies with those who read my entries in the contests I’ve entered. I don’t know your names, but I’ve appreciated your comments—whether they were positive or not-so-positive. Either way, they were helpful and I value them.

Though it doesn’t deal with writing, I’m thankful for my job. Even if it’s a short term one. But I’m getting great experience from it. And I’ve met some really nice people. I will treasure my time there forever.

And finally, I am thankful for you—the readers of this blog. Thank you for reading my ramblings. Thank you for your comments. I apologize for not responding as much as I used to. I’ll try to be better. But that’s for another post.

So Happy Thanksgiving!
