It’s November and you know what that means—It’s National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)! For those who are wondering what that means, it is a month where writers go insane and pledge to write 50,000 words during the 30 days of November. (Fifty k is the industry standard for a “novel” classification). Which means we are writing over 1600 words every day if we hope to meet the goal.

Last year was my first go at NaNoWriMo. I didn’t “win,” instead finishing with only 13k written by December. Of course, I decided to do NaNo a week in and then was sidelined the last week due to oral surgery (I had my wisdom teeth removed). So I ended up finishing last year’s project, “Fairest of Them All,” in May. I still have to type it up and hopefully have it posted to either Book Country or Scribophile by the end of the year.

This year’s project is Book 2 in the series “Fairest of Them All” starts. Book 2 stars “Fairest of Them All’s” Gwen’s best friend and roommate Rosalie, a rising chef and aspiring restaurateur…who may be the reincarnation of Sleeping Beauty. She starts to wonder this when she starts having vivid dreams after a lifetime of never dreaming. And then dark words and spinning wheel seem very ominous.

On top of that, she learns she is related to a reclusive mogul who has just passed away. He names her as an heir, leaving her enough money to fund her dream of opening her own restaurant. Her best friend—and maybe something more—Phillip agrees to be her business manager. But a long lost heir could spell trouble for Rosalie, her dreams…and her chance for love.

As you may have noticed, the project doesn’t have a name. I have a it registered on the NaNoWriMo site as “Sleeping Beauty project.” Very creative, huh? I’m open to suggestions so if you have any, leave them in the comments below!

Here’s my NaNoWriMo profile. Look me up!

And good luck to all you NaNoWriMoers out there!
